Brooklynn is a hard working girl, who isn't afraid of doing all that it takes to reach her goals. The one thing she wants most right now is to become a healer at Hogwarts. She's been studying for this for years, and when she's older, she hopes to achieve this goal. Her second biggest goal is to have her own written work in the Daily Prophet or Witch Weekly. And lastly, to meet her birth parents, if they aren't dead. She was adopted when she was younger, so she never truly met her real parents.

Brooklynn is a rather strong girl, although she may look fragile at times. She's terrified of being alone. That's her biggest fear. She's afraid because she gets nightmares nearly every night. She wakes up in the middle of the night with tears streaming down her face from her most recent nightmare. There's nothing she can do to stop them either. They change every night. Her smallest fear, but still one that she worries about, is that if she does meet her birth parents, they won't like her.

Brooklynn was only a few weeks old when she was dropped off at an orphanage. She was adopted by Maria Ann Nicholson. She, being the curious girl that she is, figured out that she was adopted when she was about nine years old. Maria and Brooklynn look nothing alike. Brooklynn really does like Maria. They're like sisters. Brooklynn just wishes she knew who her real parents were. All she knows is that their names are Chrystal Riley Smith and Christopher Ray Rose.

Brooklynn knows nothing about her blood status, seeing as she was adopted at the age of four.

On November 28, 1995, Brooklynn Riley Rose was born to the proud parents, Chrystal Riley Smith and Christopher Ray Rose. Complications occurred due to Brooklynn's birth. A month after Brooklynn was born, Chrystal passed away. Christopher had to put his daughter up for adoption, seeing as there was no way he could take care of his daughter who looked so much like his widowed wife. At the age of four years old, Brooklynn was adopted by Maria. Maria, is a Muggle, but wasn't very surprised when Brooklynn received her letter.
During her first year at Hogwarts, Brooklynn made plenty of friends. She went through her fair share of drama. She had talked to the professors, asking each of them if they knew her parents. A few said they remembered them, but could be of no assistance if asked about them now. She was fairly disappointed throughout the year with her few results, but other than that, Hogwarts has been good for her. She's developed new goals and social skills that she never had at public school in Venice.
